16. REMOVE THE FACTORY AMPLIFIER & BRACKET
Using a 10mm socket, remove the nut fastening the factory am-
plifier bracket to the vehicle. Slide the amplifier bracket forward
to clear the mushroom studs and remove the amp and bracket.
This step is optional, but makes accessing the connectors easier
and is recommended.
17. DISCONNECT FACTORY AMPLIFIER POWER CONNECTOR
Press down on the locking tab and remove the amp power con-
nector (1).
18. DISCONNECT FACTORY AMP 20-PIN SIGNAL CONNECTOR
Slide the locking outer housing to release and remove the 20-pin
signal connector.
19. CONNECT THE SIGNAL WIRING HARNESS
Connect the 20-pin “T” portion of the signal wiring harness
between the amplifier and the 20-pin factory signal connector
removed in the last step.
20. LOCATE THE ASD MODULE AND UNPLUG
The ASD module is located behind the HK amplifier. Press down
on the locking tab, open the locking lever, and unplug the harness
from the module.
