Notes
• Before making any connections, turn off the DPC-8.5
and your TV and disconnect their power cords from
the wall outlets.
• Refer to the connection information supplied with
your TV.
• Connect the DPC-8.5’s video outputs directly to your
TV. Don’t connect a VCR in between your DPC-8.5
and TV. Doing so may result in picture distortion,
because of the copy protection system used on
DVD-Video discs.
Compatibility of this unit with progressive-scan and
high-definition TVs.
This player is compatible with progressive video Macro
Vision System Copy Guard.
CONSUMERS SHOULD NOTE THAT NOT ALL
HIGH DEFINITION TELEVISION SETS ARE FULLY
COMPATIBLE WITH THIS PRODUCT AND MAY
CAUSE ARTIFACTS TO BE DISPLAYED IN THE
PICTURE. IN CASE OF 525 PROGRESSIVE SCAN
PICTURE PROBLEMS, IT IS RECOMMENDED
THAT THE USER SWITCH THE CONNECTION TO
THE “STANDARD DEFINITION” OUTPUT. IF
THERE ARE QUESTIONS REGARDING OUR TV
