password to add user; click <Forward> to continue the installation.

When the installation program prompts whether to install other application pro-
grams, you can select as needed or install as the default, and then click <Finish> to

5.4.3 Install Network Card Driver
1. Insert Inspur driver CD into CD-ROM, click Terminal menu in Applications
→
Accessories, and input the following in the windows:
#cd /
#mount /dev/cdrom /mnt
#cd /mnt
#cd driver/nic/linux/np3020m2
#cp e1000e-1.5.1.tar.gz /tmp
#cd /tmp
#tar -zxvf e1000e-1.5.1.tar.gz
#cd e1000e-1.5.1 /src
#make install
#cd /
#umount /mnt
#reboot
(Notes: “e1000e-1.5.1.tar.gz” is network card driver, and its version will be
updated. When being installed, the actual version in the accompanying driver CD
shall prevail.)
2. Log in the system after the restart, and click Network in System
→
Administration.
3. Enter the interface of Network Con

guration, select the network card to be ac-
tivated and click “Activate” to activate the network card.

cable has been connected when activating.)
