5.2 Manually Install Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition
5.2.1 Preparation Prior to Installation

Installation CD of Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition (supporting 32 bit
or 64 bit versions, here taking 64 bit as an example to introduce)

Inspur Driver CD
●
Onboard Intel SATA HostRaid_64bit Driver for Windows 2003
●
Please select corresponding driver to the version of made or installed sys-
tem according to the version of the installed operating system.
Note: On making the above-mentioned drivers, please make the driver on the
fl
oppy disk if using USB
fl
oppy drivers, or make the driver on the Inspur driver U disks
if using the Inspur driver U disk.
5.2.2 Installation Steps
1. Connect USB
fl
oppy or Inspur driver U disk to the USB interface of the server,
power up to start the server, put the installation CD of Windows Server 2003 into CD-
ROM and select to boot from CD.
2. Press any key when the system prompts “Press any key to boot from CD” and
the system will start Windows installation program from CD.
3. When the screen presents “Press F6 if you need to install a third party SCSI or
RAID driver...” please press [F6].
When the system displays “Setup could not determine the type of one or more
mass storage… ”, press [S].
If it is the common con

guration of onboard SATA controller IDE model, the sys-
tem automatically loads the drive of hard disk controller.
If it is onboard Intel SATA HostRaid con

guration, please press [F6].
Note: when installing system of version EMT64 bit, con

rm according to the ac-
tual con

guration of purchased server if there is a prompt of selecting server type.
For onboard Intel SATA HostRaid con

guration, press [S] when the system dis-
plays the message of “setup could not determine the type of one or more mass stor-
age…”.
