SERIAL SETUP

Digital Video Recorder

Select the SERIAL SETUP in the main menu and press the enter button. The SERIAL SETUP screen
appears.

RS-232 SETUP

When pressing the down list menu button (

▼

) on the RS-232 SETUP, it will show NONE, MODEM,

EXTERNAL CONTROLLER and TEXT-IN. Then, please select a proper RS-232 serial communication
device that you want to use.

You can connect the RS-232 devices like external modem, external keyboard controller or POS (Point Of
Sale) device to the RS-232 terminal on the back of the DVR by following the modem, keyboard or POS
manufacturer’s instructions.

You can connect the external modem to the RS232 terminal on the back of the DVR following the modem
manufacturer’s instructions. Reset the external modem and the modem will be activated.

When selecting External Controller or POS, your DVR will displays a list of controllable devices.
