3 Management and Setup
The LPS1000 provides local and web browser monitor interface to easily configure and monitor
the LPS1000 adjustable voltage PoE switch.
3.1 Local Management and Setup
Local management consists of push buttons and switches to access the core functionality of
the LPS1000. This section describes each button and switch in details.
3.1.1 PWR On/Off
The power on off switch is the main power switch of the LPS1000.
3.1.2 PWR CTR
The power control button changes the PoE port voltage levels. To change the LAN port
voltage, gently press the PWR CTR button once to change the PoE voltage to the next level.
Starting with a factory default LAN port voltage of zero volts, one press of the PWR CTR button
will elevate the PoE voltage to 12VDC. Subsequent press will increment the power LED to
the next level until 802.3af voltage. Pressing PWR CTR once more will set the voltage back to
zero. Refer to the diagram below for the PWR CTR and voltage LED location.
3.1.3 PWR Reset All
The power reset all button is a dual function switch. Press and release this switch will zero
the PoE voltages on port 1 through port 5. To quickly reset power and make all LAN PoE
ports to zero volts, press the PWR REST ALL button. Press and hold this button through the
Power On/Off cycle will enable the USB management console. Please refer to the USB
management console section for further configuration using the USB management console.
3.1.4 SYS Reset
The system reset button is a dual function switch. Press and release this switch will reset the
LPS1000 system. Press and hold this switch for 10 seconds and release will restore factory
default configuration values of the LPS1000. Please refer to the appendix for the factory
default values.
