The screen creates a traffic class rule to classify the upstream traffic and to assign the
queue priority which defines the precedence and type of service. A rule consists of a
class name and at least one condition below. All of the specified conditions in this
classification rule must be satisfied for the rule to take effect. Click '
Save/Apply
' to
save and activate the rule. If a non-zero value is selected for IP precedence or a value
other than “Normal” for IP type of service, the corresponding TOS byte in the IP
header of the upstream packet will be overwritten by the selected value.
Global Settings:
Enter
the
Traffic Class Name
.
Select
the
Rule Order
and
Rule Status
from the list.
Select
the
Assign Classification Queue
from the list.
Select
the
Assign Differentiated Service Code Point (DSCP) Mark
from the list. If
the field is not empty, the corresponding DSCP byte in the IP header of packet
will be overwritten by the selected value.
Select
the
Mark 802.1p if 802.1q is enabled (on WAN)
from the list.
Select
the
Physical LAN Port
from the list; packets through this port will be
classified.
Select
the
Protocol
from the list; packets with this protocol will be classified.
Select
the
Differentiated Service Code Point (DSCP) Check
from the list.
Select the type of packet:
IP address
,
DHCP Vendor Class ID
(option 60), or
DHCP User Class ID
(option 77).
Enter
the
Source IP Address

Source Subnet Mask

UDP/TCP Source Port
(single port or port range (Port: Port)).
Enter the
Destination IP Address
