Danger
Please utilise extreme caution when performing work within the compressor. Wear
appropriate PPE
(Personal Protective Equipment)
, follow
lock out-tag out
procedures, and
ensure all safety procedures
.
Blower motor will not
run
Check the incoming power supply and circuit breaker to the blower
If the above checks are bad, check E-stop operation.
Check for 24 volt DC power supply from the drive to the blower motor
relay when the start button is depressed. You will also see a red light
on the relays when the start button is depressed.
If the drive 24 volt DC output is not there, replace drive.
Plug CDC into compressor and with the up and down arrows, go to
parameter 8.04. This parameter should read ENABLED for variable
speed and DISABLED for fixed speed.
With CDC, press the up and down arrows to view parameter 7.01.
Rotate the potentiometer from left to right, the value you should read
is 97% (47% TAS) or better when completely turned to the right. If the
value is less than 97% (47% TAS), investigate further
With power off, see if blower will rotate freely by hand.
Program might not be in keyed properly, test with new key
Red indicator light is on
and motor icon appears
in indicator window
If compressor does not run, drive has a fault, CDC will be needed to
view the fault code.
If compressor runs, check wiring between drive health relay (pin17)
and hourmeter (loss of signal).
Compressor has power
but will not start
If the above checks are good, replace drive.
Compressor will not run
variable speed
Check the position of the fixed / variable speed selector for it's
position, choose your desired setting.
Plug in CDC to view parameter 8.02, the display should read
DISABLED. When the start button is depressed, the readout will
display ENABLED momentary.Check Control Voltages and DC Bus
Check the E-stop position to ensure the E-stop has not been
depressed.
Look at the compressor display indicator to see if the compressor has
reached it's maximum pressure. If maximum pressure has been
reached, compressor will not start.
If you have the 24 volt DC to the relay and circuit breaker ok then,
replace blower motor.
