6.4 Send File to NetTEST II
There are three kinds of files you can sent to the
NetTEST II:
e.g. GSD files, parameter data sets and firmware updates.
Follow the procedure below:
•
Connect
NetTEST II
via the available serial cable
connector with the COM interface defined in the terminal
program.
•
Start the configured terminal program on your PC.
•
In the terminal program click on
Transfer–Send file
•
Indicate in the browser opening now the directory where
the file to be sent is stored. Set the transmission protocol
to
Kermit
.
•
Set
NetTEST II
to
ready
for
reception
in
the
corresponding
menu,
either
for
Firmware
Update
(5.2.3.7) or
Receive GSD File
(5.2.4.2).
•
Start the transmission from your PC to
NetTEST II
(
Send
with HyperTerminal).
The firmware update may not be interrupted. Therefore
please plug in a new battery in the
NetTEST II
. The
whole procedure takes approx. 12 min. with a set baud
rate of 19.200 Baud.
