Read through these operating instructions completely and carefully and while doing so
refer to page 2 with the illustrations. The operating instructions are an integral part of
the product and contain important information about operation and handling. Always
observe all the safety instructions. If you have any questions or are unsure about using
the equipment, ask a specialist or obtain internet information under
www.pentatech.de. Keep these instructions in a safe place and pass them on to third
parties if necessary.

This product consists of the ringing amplifier HR 20 and mains adapter CTR12-090-
1000G. The unit reacts to the frequency radiated from a mobile phone placed on the
unit during an incoming call or SMS. Within 5 seconds the 2 superbright LEDs flash as
an visible signal. In addition the incoming call or SMS can be signalled by a very loud
ringing or by a melody. This enables the call signal to be heard in a loud environment,
from a distance or from elsewhere in the house. If the incoming call or SMS is not
picked up, the LEDs will flash every 20 seconds to signal the missed call or received
SMS. The unit is suitable for use only with mobile (GSM) phones, and

for use with

landline, cordless or smartphones. The unit can react differently according to the
model of mobile phone, the compatibility must be tested.
The unit has a 5V,500 mA output (USB-socket). This can be used to charge mobile
phones which have a 5V USB-charging cable.
The power supply is provided using the supplied 9 V DC, 1000 mA mains adapter or
through a 9 V 6LR61 battery (not included). The battery can power the unit during
loss of mains power or for short periods of mobile use. The battery can power the
calling amplifier function but not the USB-charging function.
Any other use or modification of the equipment is not authorised and presents
significant risks of accident. No liability will be accepted for consequential damages or
for damages caused by improper use or incorrect operation.

6. Safety instructions

Danger!

If the following points are not observed life and health is endangered.

Power the unit only with 9 V DC! Ensure that mains outlet used for the mains
adapter is according to electrical regulations. Do not connect any external voltage
to the connection terminals. Otherwise there are dangers of personal and fatal
injury.
Ensure that the call signal is not operated near to ears. Otherwise there is a risk of
hearing damage.
