If the device is not to be used for some period remove the batteries.
Do not place the equipment and the batteries near fire, heat or in
areas of high temperature.
Protect the equipment and the cables against strong magnetic or
electrical fields and against strong mechanical loads and
vibrations.
Only use the equipment with the supplied original parts or original
accessories.
Before assembly and use check that all parts are included and that
they are undamaged.
Do not connect any damaged device (e.g. damage in transit).
Repairs to the equipment must only be performed by specialists.
Remove the mains adapter from the mains outlet when the device
is not required for a longer time.
This system transmits and receives radio-frequency signals. If the
system is not installed and used according to the instructions it
may cause interference with other apparatus and just as other
apparatus may interfere with the system. Interference can be
reduced by repositioning the system.
Before fitting the outdoor station, you plan where you want it to go.
Check the wireless connection, the intercom funtion as well as the
image section before fitting.
Observe the following points:
Mount the outdoor station at such a height that visitors can
comfortably reach the doorbell button and that the face of the
person ringing the bell is in the field of view of the camera. Pay
attention to the height of children in doing so. The vertical field
of view of the camera is approx. 53°.
The outdoor station is usually installed at the side of the
entrance door. Ensure that the face of a visitor standing in front
of the door can be seen on the monitor. The horizontal field of
view of the camera is approx. 96°, an image section
left/middle/right can be adjusted.
A bracket for 45° corner fitting on the right or left is available as
an option (see "Optional accessories" section).
Position the outdoor station so that no direct light or sunshine
falls on the lens. Avoid strong back lighting behind the visitor: in
this case, the person appears darker on the image. Check the
camera image before mounting. Provisionally connect and
commission the device and hold the outdoor station in the
desired position. If necessary, change the position until you have
found the desired view. Remember that the position of the sun
changes.
The camera has white illumination [22] for the close range. This is
activated at dark. You can improve the quality of the image at
night by using additional illumination

If you want to install the outdoor station outdoors, it must be
protected against direct rainfall. If operating with the power
supply unit, the unit must be positioned indoors.
If operating with the power supply unit, ensure that there is a
suitable option for feeding the power supply cable through (use a
connection cable with a wire cross-section of 0.2 - 0.7 mm²) and,
if required, for the connection cables to the optional door release /
optional button / optional external signal generator at the point
of installation.
If you wish to connect a door release and/or a signal generator,
note the power supply:
If the outdoor station is powered by the mains adapter:
a door release and/or a signal generator (e.g. an external
bell) with a current consumption of max. 1 A at up to 15 V AC
or DC can bei connected via its own power supply (see fig. B).
a door release and/or a signal generator with a current
consumption of max. 500 mA at up to 12 V DC can bei
powered by the the mains adapter of the outdoor station (see
fig. C).
If the outdoor station is powered with batteries:
a door release and/or a signal generator (e.g. an external
bell) with a current consumption of max. 500 mA at up to 12
V AC can bei connected via its own power supply (see fig. D).
The charging station must be placed on a solid and level surface,
ideally approx. 1-1.5 m above the ground and not directly next to
a wall (optimal reception).
Place the charging station in a central position in the dwelling,
eg. in the hallway. Make sure that the chime can be heard
throughout the dwelling.
Note that there must be a suitable power outlet within reach of
the mains adapter cable.
By free line of sight between a maximum wireless range of up to
100 -150 m is possible, within buildings this is reduced to maybe
20 m.
The range cannot be guaranteed as it is dependent on the local
conditions.
In order to avoid malfunctions, only one wireless system should be fitted
for each monitoring location/building/home.
A reduction of the range will be caused by:
Walls and ceilings, in particular those of metal or with metal
reinforcement
Sheet metal surfaces e.g. refrigerator, metal shelves, radiators
Coated windows (eg. those with Insulating glass)
Strong electric fields and other radio equipment, eg. microwave
ovens, radio telephones, mobile phones, radio equipment in the 2.4
GHz range, electric motors and power cables
Devices using the same or similar frequency (eg. WLAN-systems)
