14.1 Optional signal generator
14.2 Optional door release button
17.1 Outdoor station
When the bell button [25] on the door intercom to which the signal
generator is attached is pressed, the signal generator is activated for
approx. 3 seconds.
The door intercom DVT50T2 has only one wired output for a signal
generator. This output is assigned to the upper doorbell button, i.e. the
family who needs the signal generator has to choose the upper doorbell
button.
When the door release button is pressed, the door release that is
connected to the same door intercom as the door release button is
activated for the time set on the mobile unit.
If a paired door intercom that is connected to the power supply or which
has batteries fitted is removed from the protective cover, a pulsating
tamper alarm sounds on the door intercom and the mobile unit for
approx. 5 minutes.
To switch off the tamper alarm, press the on/off button
[8]or
the talk button
[1] on the mobile unit.
The wireless range is dependent on many factors. In an ideal location
and by free line of sight between both antennas) a range of up to 150
m is possible, within buildings this is reduced to maybe 20 m.
The range cannot be guaranteed as it is dependent on the local conditions.
In order to avoid malfunctions, only one wireless system should be fitted for
each monitoring location/building/home.
A reduction of the range will be caused by:
Walls and Floors, in particular those of metal or with metal
reinforcement
Sheet metal surfaces e.g. refrigerator, metal shelves
Coated windows (eg. those with Insulating glass), radiators, and
metal surfaces
Strong electric fields and other radio equipment, eg. microwave
ovens, radio telephones, mobile phones, radio equipment in the 2.4
GHz range, electric motors and power cables
Devices using the same or similar frequency (eg. WLAN-systems)
If no sound can be heard after pressing the door bell button [25] or if
there is only one bar in the battery status indicator [6], then the
batteries must be changed.

with the screw.

replace the weak battery by:
sliding the battery compartment cover [11] on the mobile unit
down,
removing the battery,
inserting a new battery (3.7 V, 1100 mAh) with the terminals in
the correct position and
sliding the cover back into place.
Before using the new battery for the first time, allow it to charge
up fully for 5 hours.
