seCtion 1: introduCtion
2. Be prepared to describe the problem, including how the instrument
was being used and the conditions noted at the time of the
malfunction.
3. If Tech Support determines that service is needed, they will ask
that your company pre-approve a specified dollar amount for repair
charges. When the pre-approval is received, Tech Support will assign
an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number.
4. Clean the Level TROLL and cable. Decontaminate thoroughly if it has
been used in a toxic or hazardous environment. See the Cleaning
Guidelines and
on page 13.
5. Carefully pack your Level TROLL in its original shipping box, if
possible. Include a statement certifying that the instrument and cable
have been decontaminated, and any supporting information.
6. Mark the RMA number clearly on the outside of the box with a marker
or label.
7. Send the package, shipping prepaid, to
