Technical Documentation

It is a signal coming from the integrated P.C.B. By means of an opto-isolator it allows

the ignition spark.

Igniter signal

(N3)

Allows the control of 1 additional zone valve by means of CAR, which must be set in On/

Off mode

(see CAR functioning).

P.C.B. to a relay

It is a unipolar relay for pump control (M1) that is excited when its functioning is re-

quested.

Pump Relay

(K2)

It is a unipolar relay that is excited when burner ignition is necessary. The boiler is ignited

by means of its contact.

Relay Request

(K3)

It is a signal that allows the zone control unit to know the functioning status of the appliance

(domestic hot water/central heating) and, if mounted to recognise the CAR as the room

thermostat in zone 1

(see Zones control unit technical board functioning).

the alarm codes that have intervened and the temperature detected by any external probe

It is excited with a central heating request and remains in stand-by with a domestic hot

It is a bipolar relay that allows to power the gas valve coils, with consent of the safety

thermostat, flue safety thermofuse and the exchanger safety thermofuse.

Gas valve relay

(K1)

It is a positive square wave signal with variable ON-OFF relationship (

duty-cycle

) that

controls the fan.

Allows to vary the air flow rate to the Venturi pipe and therefore the gas pressure to the

burner.

Fan

It is a square wave signal detected with a Hall effect sensor inserted into the fan. It allows

the board to measure the speed and correct it if it does not comply with the requested

value.
