2.5 DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONING

STATES

Below find a list of boiler functioning states that

appear on the multifunction display (24) by

means of the indicator (6) with a brief descrip-

tion. Refer to the instruction book for a complete

explanation.

Display (6) Description of functioning states

SUMMER

Summer functioning mode without request in progress.

Boiler in stand-by for domestic hot water request.

WINTER

Winter functioning mode without request in progress.

Boiler in stand-by for domestic hot water or central heating request.

CHILLER

Cooling operating mode without requests in progress.

Boiler awaiting domestic hot water request and heat pump awaiting room cooling.

DHW ON

Domestic hot water mode in progress.

Boiler functioning, domestic hot water heating in progress.

CH ON

Central heating mode in progress.

Boiler or heat pump in operation, room heating is in progress.

COOLING

Cooling mode in progress.

Heat pump in operation, room cooling is in progress.

CAR OFF

Remote command disconnected, the boiler is still powered but is not able to satisfy any requests.

Postventilation in progress.

Fan in function after a request for domestic hot water or central heating in order to evacuate residual flue gas.

Postcirculation in progress.

Pump in function after a request for domestic hot water or central heating in order to cool the primary circuit.

With the Remote Control absent, the boiler only operates for the production of domestic hot water. (Can be activated through the

“M3” menu. It allows to activate the central heating even if the Remote Control is out of order).

STOP

Reset attempts finished

Wait for 1 hour to re-acquire 1 attempt.

(Error code 08).

ERR xx

Anomaly present in boiler with relative error code.

The boiler does not work. (see troubleshooting paragraph).

Boiler air bleeding.

During this stage, which lasts 18 hours, the boiler circulator pump is started at pre-set intervals, thus allowing air bleeding of the

heating system.

SOLAR

Solar function.

The solar function is activated to control just the pump for DHW.

When the solar pump is powered, the display will show SOLAR’, which may alternate with other function texts in progress.

SOLAR ON

The solar pump functions permanently.

SOLAR OFF

The solar pump stays off.

2.6 USING THE BOILER.

The electronics integrated in the boiler, depend-

ing on the climatic conditions and on the settings,

establishes which system to use to satisfy the

system requests, choosing the most convenient

and suitable system from time to time among

the boiler, the thermal solar system and the heat

pump, or using them simultaneously to achieve

the best possible comfort.

Attention:

the boiler only works properly if it is

connected to the remote zone control and com-

bined with the Immergas heat pump supplied

separately.

Consequently all controls and adjustments are

requested to the remote zone control; in any case

on the boiler the Reset button “C”, the menu access

button “D” and the domestic hot water Comfort

button “B” remain in operation.

Before ignition make sure the central heating sys-

tem is filled with water and that the manometer

(23) indicates a pressure of 1 - 1.2 bar;

Open the gas valve upstream of the boiler; it is

then possible to switch the boiler on.

When the boiler is switched off the boiler display

reads “CAR OFF” by pressing and holding the

button ( ) on the remote zone control the

boiler switches on.

Connection to the remote zone control is

detected automatically and the boiler display
indicates the symbol (

Once the boiler is switched on all the adjust-

ments, any anomaly reports and operating

modes are shown on the display of the remote

zone control. In any case the boiler display still

maintains all system operation statuses.
For example, in the event the domestic hot wa-

ter heating request is satisfied by the boiler, the

operating status is displayed as shown below:

“COMFORT” or “SAVING” DHW function.

By pressing button "B" on the display the (

)

symbol appears and the “COMFORT” function

is activated, which allows to have the maximum

amount of hot water available set according to

user requirements.

By pressing button “B” again one switches to

“SAVING” mode, signalled by the indicator (15

) switched off and the energy saving mode is

activated, in this case it is still possible to have

domestic hot water but it is not guaranteed that

the temperature set by the user will be reached.

: Attention:

with the boiler in

stand-by mode (operation performed from the

boiler control panel) it is possible to produce

hot water only via the heat pump; in addition,

solar circuit operation is also disabled and the

safety functions are not ensured, such as: pump

anti-lock, antifreeze and three-way anti-lock

(error 36 appears on the remote zone control).

To reactivate boiler operation one must press

the boiler Stand-by button (

• CAR Off:

with the remote zone control off, the

boiler display indicates the “CAR OFF” operat-

ing status, the boiler safety functions remain in

any case active.
