7 Remote Control via a Computer
7.1 Installing the PC software
These instructions refer to version 2 .26 of the PC software . To install
the control program supplied, a computer with the operating system
Windows XP
with
Service Pack 3
or a higher
Windows
version is
required . The screen resolution should be at least 1024 × 768 pixels .
To install the PC software, start the installation program “IMG Stage
Line […] .exe” on the CD supplied and follow the instructions of the
installation program . Prior to the PC software, the installation program
will install software additionally required: a driver (USB to serial) and
the software framework “ .NET framework 4 .0” unless it has already
been installed on the computer .
When the installation has been completed, it may be necessary
to reboot the computer for the USB driver to operate .

7.2 Calling up the control program
At the computer, call up the control program “IMG Stage Line .exe” .
The main window (fig . 7) will appear; a block diagram and the menu
will be shown:

The connection status is indicated in the lower left corner:
Offline (red): no data connection to the amplifier
Online (green): The amplifier is connected and locked for local
operation .
PC CONTROLLING
will appear on the
display (3) .
When the program is started, it will usually automatically connect
to the amplifier . The menu item “Connect” can be used for manual
connection/disconnection .
7.3 Menu functions of the main window
(fig . 7)
7.3.1 Connection to the amplifier
For manual connection/disconnection of a data connection to the
amplifier, the following menu items are available:
Connect
Port Select:
to select the serial port emulated by the USB driver
Connect
Connect:
to establish the data connection to the amplifier
Connect
Disconnect:
to disconnect the data connection to the amplifier
7.3.2 Copying settings between channels
If, in the operating mode “Stereo”, the settings of an amplifier
channel are to be used by the other channel, call up the menu item
“Device
Channel Copy” . The following window will appear:

1) Under “… source channel”, select the channel whose settings are
to be copied .
2) Under “… target channel”, tick the target channel .
3) In the right section, select all function blocks whose settings are
to be copied .
4) Click “OK” to confirm the copy process .
7.3.3 Managing presets
To manage the presets of an amplifier connected, call up the menu
item “Memory
Device Memory” . The following window will appear:

The left side indicates the usage of the 30 storage locations in the
amplifier:
White:
unused storage locations
Blue:
used storage locations
Green:
preset most recently loaded = configuration at switch-on
It is not possible to change or delete the factory settings (operating
mode = Stereo, gain = −20 dB, all signal processing functions deacti-
vated) on storage location 1 .
The buttons on the right side have the following functions:
Store:
to save the current setting of the storage location selected
on the left side
Note:
When assigning a preset name, remember that the display
of the amplifier can only show the first six characters and does not
support all special characters .
Recall:
to call up the configuration of the storage location selected
Delete:
to delete the storage location selected
Note:
When you delete the current preset, you will be asked to
confirm the deletion . If no preset is called up or saved after the
deletion, the amplifier will, when it is switched on, load the factory
settings of storage location 1 .
Clear:
to delete all storage locations with the exception of storage
location 1 (factory settings)
Close:
to close the window
