Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Dieses Gerät entspricht der Richtlinie für elektro-
magnetische Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG und der
Niederspannungsrichtlinie 73/23/EWG.
Beachten Sie auch unbedingt die folgenden Punkte:

Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung im Innenbe-
reich geeignet. Schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und
Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze
(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
●
Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gefäße,
z. B. Trinkgläser, auf das Gerät.
●
Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb bzw. zie-
hen Sie sofort den Netzstecker aus der Steck-
dose:
1. wenn sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der
Netzanschlussleitung vorhanden sind,
2. wenn nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der
Verdacht auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. wenn Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Lassen Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall in einer Fach-
werkstatt reparieren.

Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie am Kabel aus der
Steckdose, fassen Sie immer am Stecker an.

Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemikalien.

Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig an-
geschlossen, falsch bedient oder nicht fachgerecht

rende Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine

Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb genom-
men werden, übergeben Sie es zur umweltge-

Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Das kompakte Mischpult MPX-80 ist mit 2 Mikrofon-
Eingangskanälen und 6 Stereokanälen (jeweils um-
schaltbar auf 2 Quellen) besonders für Recording
und Beschallungen aller Art geeignet. Auch als Büh-
nenmixer für Mikrofone und Instrumente (Keyboards
etc.) oder als Vormixer für größere Pulte lässt es
sich hervorragend einsetzen. Bei DJ-Anwendungen
kann für Durchsagen die automatische Talkover-
Schaltung genutzt werden.
Das Mischpult ist für die Montage in ein Rack
(482 mm/19") vorgesehen. Für den Einbau werden
2 HE (Höheneinheiten) = 88 mm benötigt.

Geräte anschließen
Vor dem Anschließen von Geräten bzw. Ändern
bestehender Anschlüsse das Mischpult ausschal-
ten.
1) Die Stereo-Tonquellen an die entsprechenden
Eingänge der Kanäle CH 1 bis CH 6 anschließen
(rote Buchse = rechter Kanal, weiße Buchse =
linker Kanal):
Buchsen PHONO (24) für Plattenspieler mit
Magnetsystem. Die Plattenspieler-Masseleitung
mit der Schraubklemme GND (25) auf der Rück-
seite des Mischpultes verbinden.
Buchsen LINE A und LINE B (22) für Geräte mit
hohem Line-Ausgangssignal (100 mV – 1 V)
Buchsen LINE (23) für Geräte mit niedrigem
Line-Ausgangssignal (50 – 500 mV)
2) Mikrofone (symmetrisch oder asymmetrisch) an
die 6,3-mm-Klinkenbuchsen MIC 1 und MIC 2 (9
oder 26) anschließen.
Die Mikrofoneingänge sind auf der Front- und
der Rückseite des Mixers herausgeführt. Dabei
haben die Eingänge auf der Front Vorrang, d. h.
rückseitig angeschlossene Mikrofone werden
abgeschaltet, sowie ein Mikrofon an der Front
angeschlossen wird.
3) Sollen Tonaufnahmen gemacht werden, das Auf-
nahmegerät an den Record-Ausgang REC (21)
anschließen. Der Aufnahmepegel ist unabhängig
von der Stellung des Masterreglers (14).
4) Über einen Stereo-Kopfhörer kann sowohl der
Pre-Fader-Pegel der Eingangskanäle sowie das
laufende Musikprogramm vor dem Masterregler
(14) abgehört werden. Wenn keine PFL-Taste
(11, 13) gedrückt ist, liegt das MASTER-Aus-
gangssignal am Kopfhörerausgang an, siehe
auch Kap. 5.6.
Den Kopfhörer (Impedanz = 8 – 32
Ω
) an
die 6,3-mm-Klinkenbuchse PHONES (16) an-
schließen.
5) Zuletzt den Netzstecker des Anschlusskabels
(18) in eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.
Achtung! Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher
Netzspannung (230 V~) versorgt. Neh-
men Sie deshalb niemals selbst Ein-
griffe im Gerät vor. Durch unsachge-
mäßes Vorgehen besteht die Gefahr
eines elektrischen Schlages. Außerdem
erlischt beim Öffnen des Gerätes jegli-
cher Garantieanspruch.

Important Safety Notes
This unit corresponds to the directive 89/336/EEC
for electromagnetic compatibility and to the low volt-
age directive 73/23/EEC.
It is essential to observe the following items:

The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient tempera-
ture range 0 – 40 °C).
●
Do not place any vessels filled with liquid, e. g.
drinking glasses, on the unit.
●
Do not set the unit into operation, and immediately
disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if
1. there is visible damage to the unit or to the
mains cable,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or
similar accident,
3. malfunctions occur.
The unit must in any case be repaired by skilled
personnel.
●
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the
mains plug from the mains socket, always seize
the plug.
●
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no
means water or chemicals.
●
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material
damage will be accepted if the unit is used for
other purposes than originally intended, if it is not
correctly connected, operated, or not repaired in
an expert way.
●
If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively,
take it to a local recycling plant for a disposal
which is not harmful to the environment.

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.

Applications
The compact mixer MPX-80 is equipped with 2 mi-
crophone input channels and 6 stereo channels
(2 sources respectively can be selected) and espe-
cially suited for recording and PA applications of all
kind. It can also be used as a stage mixer for micro-
phones and musical instruments (keyboards etc.) or
as a premixer for larger consoles in an excellent
way. In case of DJ applications the automatic talk-
over circuit can be used for announcements.
The mixer is provided for mounting into a rack
(482 mm/19"). For the installation 2 RS (rack spac-
es) = 88 mm are required.

Connection
Prior to connecting units or changing existing
connections switch off the mixer.
1) Connect the stereo audio sources to the corre-
sponding inputs of the channels CH 1 to CH 6 (red
jack = right channel, white jack = left channel):
jacks PHONO (24) for turntables with magnetic
system. Connect the ground cable of the turnta-
ble to the clamping screw GND (25) on the rear
side of the mixer.
jacks LINE A and LINE B (22) for units with high
line output signal (100 mV – 1 V)
jacks LINE (23) for units with low line output sig-
nal (50 – 500 mV)
2) Connect microphones (balanced or unbalanced)
to the 6.3 mm jacks MIC 1 and MIC 2 (9 or 26).
The microphone inputs are routed out on the
front panel and rear panel of the mixer. The
inputs on the front panel take priority, i. e. the
microphones connected on the rear panel are
switched off as soon as a microphone is connect-
ed on the front panel.
3) For audio recordings connect the recording unit
to the record output REC (21). The recording
level is independent of the position of the master
fader (14).
Attention! The unit is supplied with hazardous
mains voltage (230 V~). Leave servicing
to skilled personnel only. Inexpert hand-
ling may cause an electric shock hazard.
Furthermore, any guarantee claim will
expire if the unit has been opened.
