einstellen: Die Tonquellen, die am lautesten zu
hören sein sollen, optimal aussteuern (siehe
Kap. 5.1.1 und 5.1.2) und die Pegel der übrigen
Tonquellen entsprechend reduzieren.
Wird ein Kanal nicht benutzt, sollte sein Fader
auf Null gestellt werden.
5.4 Echoeffekt einstellen
Dem Signal jeder angeschlossenen Tonquelle lässt
sich ein Echoeffekt hinzuzufügen, der über eine digi-
tale Verzögerungsschaltung erzeugt wird. Die Echo-
funktion kann für jeden Eingangskanal getrennt ein-
und ausgeschaltet werden.
1) Zum Einschalten der Echofunktion die Taste ON
(23) drücken (LED darüber leuchtet).
2) Zum Aktivieren der Echofunktion für einen Ein-
gangskanal die Taste ECHO (5 bzw. 11) des
Kanals drücken (LED darüber leuchtet).
3) Mit dem Regler LEVEL (22) die Effektintensität
einstellen: je weiter der Regler aufgedreht wird,
desto stärker wird das Effektsignal.
4) Mit den Reglern DELAY (20) und REPEAT (21)
den Klang des Echoeffekts einstellen:
Regler DELAY für die Verzögerungszeit:
Je weiter der Regler nach rechts aufgedreht wird,
desto länger ist die Verzögerungszeit. Bei län-
geren Verzögerungszeiten sind die Echos ein-
zeln wahrnehmbar, bei kurzen Verzögerungszei-
ten verschmelzen die Echos zu einem hallartigen
Nachklang.
Regler REPEAT für die Anzahl der Echos:
Je weiter der Regler nach rechts aufgedreht wird,
desto häufiger wird das Signalecho wiederholt.
5.5 Abhören über Kopfhörer
Über einen an der Buchse
(30) angeschlossenen
Kopfhörer lassen sich folgende Signale abhören:
A das Pre-Fader-Signal [d. h. Signalabgriffspunkt
vor dem Fader (13)] jedes einzelnen Stereo-Ein-
gangskanals
1) Die Taste PFL (12) des Kanals drücken (LED
darüber leuchtet). Die Taste PFL (24) der Ef-
fektsektion darf nicht gedrückt sein, da sonst
auch das Effektsignal auf den Kopfhörer ge-
geben wird.
2) Den Überblendregler MIX (29) bis zum Links-
anschlag auf Position PFL drehen.
B das durch die interne Echoschaltung erzeugte
Effektsignal
1) Die Taste PFL (24) der Effektsektion drücken
(LED darüber leuchtet). Die Tasten PFL (12)
der Eingangskanäle dürfen nicht gedrückt
sein, da sonst auch die Pre-Fader-Signale der
Kanäle auf den Kopfhörer gegeben werden.
2) Den Überblendregler MIX (29) bis zum Links-
anschlag auf Position PFL drehen.
Hinweis: Da die Kanalsignale nach den Pegel-
reglern (4 und 13) auf die Echoschaltung ge-
geben werden, ist bei zugezogenen Pegelreg-
lern kein Effektsignal zu hören.
C das laufende Musikprogramm vor den Master-
fadern (19)
1) Die Tasten PFL (12 bzw. 24) können ausge-
rastet oder gedrückt sein.
2) Den Überblendregler MIX (29) bis zum Rechts-
anschlag auf Position PROG. drehen.
Steht der Überblendregler MIX nicht auf Links- oder
Rechtsanschlag, sondern in einer Zwischenstellung,
ist ein Mischsignal aus dem laufendem Musikpro-
gramm und dem mit der jeweiligen Taste PFL ge-
wählten Signal zu hören.
Mit dem Regler LEVEL (28) die gewünschte
Kopfhörerlautstärke einstellen.

If a channel is not used, its fader should be set
to zero.
5.4 Adjusting the echo effect
An echo effect produced via a digital delay circuit
can be added to the signal of each audio source
connected. The echo function can be switched on
and off separately for each input channel.
1) To switch on the echo function, press the button
ON (23) [LED above it lights up].
2) For activating the echo function for an input chan-
nel, press the button ECHO (5 or 11) of the chan-
nel (LED above it lights up).
3) With the control LEVEL (22), adjust the effect
intensity: The further the control is opened, the
more powerful is the effect signal.
4) With the controls DELAY (20) and REPEAT (21),
adjust the desired sound of the echo effect:
Control DELAY for the delay time:
The further the control is turned clockwise, the
longer is the delay time. With long delay times,
the individual echoes are audible; with short
delay times, the echoes merge into a multiple-
echo reverberation.
Control REPEAT for the number of echoes:
The further the control is turned clockwise, the
more frequently the signal echo is repeated.
5.5 Monitoring via headphones
Via headphones connected to the jack
(30), the
following signals can be monitored:
A the prefader signal [i.e. the signal is taken off
ahead of the fader (13)] of each individual stereo
input channel
1) Press the button PFL (12) of the channel (LED
above it lights up). The button PFL (24) of the
effect section must not be pressed as other-
wise the effect signal will also be fed to the
headphones.
2) Set the crossfading control MIX (29) to the left
stop to position PFL.
B the effect signal produced by the internal echo
circuit
1) Press the button PFL (24) of the effect section
(LED above it lights up). The buttons PFL (12)
of the input channels must not be pressed as
otherwise the prefader signals of the channels
will also be fed to the headphones.
2) Set the crossfading control MIX (29) to the left
stop to position PFL.
Note: As the channel signals are fed to the
echo circuit after the level controls (4 and 13),
no effect signal will be audible with the level
controls closed.
C the current music programme ahead of the
master faders (19)
1) The buttons PFL (12 or 24) may be locked or
unlocked.
2) Set the crossfading control MIX (29) to the
right stop to position PROG.
With the crossfading control MIX in an intermediate
position instead of being at the left stop or right stop,
a mixed signal from the current music programme
and the signal selected with the corresponding but-
ton PFL can be heard.
Adjust the desired headphone volume with the
control LEVEL (28).
