Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Dieses Gerät entspricht der Richtlinie für elektro-
magnetische Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG und der
Niederspannungsrichtlinie 73/23/EWG.
Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher Netzspan-
nung (230 V~) versorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb nie-
mals selbst Eingriffe im Gerät vor. Durch unsach-
gemäßes Vorgehen besteht die Gefahr eines
elektrischen Schlages. Außerdem erlischt beim
Öffnen des Gerätes jeglicher Garantieanspruch.
Beachten Sie für den Betrieb auch unbedingt die fol-
genden Punkte:

Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung in Räumen
geeignet.
•
Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit und Hitze
(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0-40°C).
•
Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen und sofort den
Netzstecker ziehen, wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der Netz-
anschlußleitung vorhanden sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder ähnlichem der Verdacht
auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur in eine
Fachwerkstatt geben.
•
Eine beschädigte Netzanschlußleitung darf nur
durch den Hersteller oder eine autorisierte Fach-
werkstatt ersetzt werden.
•
Den Netzstecker nie an der Zuleitung aus der
Steckdose ziehen.
•
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, falsch bedient
oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann für eventu-
elle Schäden keine Haftung übernommen werden.
•
Für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes Staubtuch ver-
wenden, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien oder Wasser.

Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Das Audio-Mischpult MMX-822 ist als frei aufstellba-
res Tischgerät speziell für Musiker und den Einsatz
auf der Bühne ausgelegt. Die neun Eingangskanäle
- sechs Mono-Kanäle, zwei Stereo-Kanäle und ein
zusätzlicher Stereo-AUX-Eingang - lassen sich auf
zwei getrennte Stereo-Summenkanäle sowie auf
einen Stereo-Monitorkanal mischen.

Inbetriebnahme
1) Die Tonquellen an die entsprechenden Eingangs-
buchsen auf der Rückseite des Mischpultes an-
schließen:
LINE bzw. CD/LINE (36) für den Anschluß von
Geräten mit Line-Pegel (z. B Tuner, CD-Spieler,
Kassettenrecorder),
Kanäle 1-6:
Mono-Eingänge,
Kanäle 7 und 8:
Stereo-Eingänge;
AUX (27) für den Anschluß eines zweiten Misch-
pultes, eines Stereo-Effektgerätes oder einer wei-
teren Line-Quelle;
MIC (28) für den Anschluß von Mono-Mikrofonen.
2) Ein DJ-Mono-Mikrofon kann an die DJ MIC-Ein-
gangsbuchse (3) auf der Frontseite des Gerätes
angeschlossen werden. Die DJ MIC-XLR-Buchse
ist parallel zur MIC-Buchse des Kanals 8 geschal-
tet. Sie besitzt eine Verriegelung, die beim Her-
ausziehen des Mikrofon-Steckers durch Herun-
terdrücken des PUSH-Hebels wieder gelöst wird.
3) Die Umschalttasten (1) für die Kanäle 1-8 ent-
sprechend betätigen: Bei nicht gedrückter Taste
ist der Line-Eingang des jeweiligen Kanals ange-
wählt (Mono für die Kanäle 1-6, Stereo für die
Kanäle 7 und 8), bei gedrückter Taste der Mono-
Mikrofon-Eingang.
Wird der Umschalter für Kanal 8 gedrückt, sind
beide Mikrofon-Buchsen dieses Kanals - die
Klinkenbuchse MIC für Kanal 8 und die XLR-
Buchse DJ MIC (3) - angeschaltet.
4) Zum Anschluß eines Mono-Effektgerätes den Ein-
gang des Effektgerätes mit der Buchse SEND
(26) und den Ausgang des Effektgerätes mit der
Buchse RETURN (34) verbinden.
5) Den bzw. die Verstärker an die Ausgangsbuchsen
SUB (24) und/oder MASTER (25) anschließen.
6) Die Monitoranlage an die Ausgangsbuchsen (33)
anschließen.
7) Für eventuelle Tonaufnahmen ein Aufnahmegerät
an die Ausgangsbuchsen REC (32) anschließen.
Der Aufnahmepegel ist unabhängig von der Stel-
lung der beiden Summenregler (16) und (21).
8) Den Netzstecker in die Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz)
stecken.
9) Vor dem Einschalten des Mischpultes sollten die
Summenregler (16) und (21) und der Monitorreg-
ler (18) auf Minimum gestellt werden, um starke
Einschaltgeräusche zu vermeiden. Dann das
Mischpult mit dem Ein- /Ausschalter (29) ein-
schalten, und danach die angeschlossenen Ge-
räte einschalten.

Bedienung
Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme alle GAIN-Regler (7)
und Klangregler (2+8) auf Mittelposition stellen.
5.1 Mischen der angeschlossenen Tonquellen
1) Mit den Summenreglern (16) und (21) läßt sich
die Gesamtlautstärke der angeschlossenen Ton-
quellen einstellen. Der mit dem Summenregler
MASTER (16) eingestellte Ausgangspegel steht
am Summenausgang MASTER (25) zur Verfü-
gung, der mit dem Summenregler SUB (21) einge-
stellte Ausgangspegel wird dem Summenausgang
SUB (24) zugeführt. Zur Pegeleinstellung der
angeschlossenen Geräte die Summenregler auf
ca.

des Maximums stellen, z. B. auf Position 7.
2) Das VU-Meter (4) zeigt bei nicht gedrückter Um-
schalttaste (6) den Pegel der Signalsumme an:
bei nicht gedrückter Taste (22) den Ausgangspe-
gel des Summenkanals MASTER, bei gedrückter
Taste (22) den Ausgangspegel des Summen-
kanals SUB.
3) Mit den Fadern (13) die Pegel der Eingangs-
kanäle einstellen. Die Fader sollten nach der
Pegeleinstellung auf ca.

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accor-
dance with the following code:
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal in the plug which is mark-
ed with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be
connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter L or coloured red.

Installation
The audio mixer MMX-822 is designed to be used as
a table top unit especially for musicians and stage
applications. The nine input channels - six mono
channels, two stereo channels, and an additional
stereo AUX input - can be mixed to two separate
stereo master channels as well as to one stereo
monitor channel.

Setting Into Operation
1) Connect the sound sources to the corresponding
input jacks at the rear panel of the mixer:
LINE resp. CD/LINE (36) for connecting units with
line level (e. g. tuner, CD player, tape recorder),
Channels 1-6:
mono inputs,
Channels 7 and 8: stereo inputs;
AUX (27) for connecting a second mixer, a stereo
effect unit or a further line source;
MIC (28) for connecting mono microphones.
2) A DJ mono microphone can be connected to the
DJ MIC input jack (3) at the front panel of the unit.
The DJ MIC XLR jack is switched in parallel to the
MIC jack of channel 8. It is equipped with a lock
which is released by pressing the PUSH lever
down during pulling out of the microphone plug.
3) Press the selector buttons (1) for channels 1-8
correspondingly: if the button is not pressed, the
line input of the corresponding channel is select-
ed (mono for channels 1-6, stereo for channels 7
and 8); if the button is pressed, the mono micro-
phone input is selected.
If the selector button of channel 8 is pressed,
both microphone jacks of this channel - the

MIC (3) - are activated.
4) For the connection of a mono effect unit connect
the input of the effect unit with the SEND jack (26)
and the output of the effect unit with the RETURN
jack (34).
5) Connect the amplifier(s) to the output jacks SUB
(24) and/or MASTER (25).
6) Connect the monitor system to the output jacks
(33).
7) Connect a recording unit to the output jacks REC
(32) if sound recordings are desired. The record-
ing level is independent of the setting of both
master controls (16) and (21).
8) Plug the mains plug into the mains socket
(230 V~/50 Hz).
9) Before switching on the mixer, set the master con-
trols (16) and (21) and the monitor control (18) to
minimum so that strong inrush bump is avoided.
Afterwards, switch on the mixer with the on/off
switch (29). Then switch on the connected units.

Operation
Before switching on for the first time, set all GAIN
controls (7) and equalizers (2+8) to center position.
5.1 Mixing of the connected sound sources
1) The total volume of the connected sound sources
can be adjusted with the master controls (16) and
(21). The output level adjusted with the master
control MASTER (16) is available at the master
output MASTER (25), the output level adjusted
with the master control SUB (21) is fed to the
master output SUB (24). For the level adjustment
of the connected units, set the master controls to
approx.

sum if the selector button (6) is not pressed: the
output level of the master channel MASTER if the
button (22) is not pressed, the output level of the
master channel SUB if the button (22) is pressed.
3) Adjust the levels of the input channels with the
faders (13). The faders should be set to approx.

that there is sufficient control range for fading in
and out. If the faders are almost at minimum or
maximum, the levels have to be adjusted corre-
spondingly with the GAIN controls (7).
