6 Fader Start
The function Start / Pause of the button
(11)
can be remote-controlled from a mixer with fader
start function. The connection to the mixer is
described in chapter 4, step 2.
Set the CD-80USB to the type of fader start
of the mixer. For this purpose, keep the button
CONT (16) pressed and press the button
or
(7) to select LOCK, TACT or CUE / PLAY. When
you press the buttons, the setting is shown in the
text line (Q).
LOCK
= control via on / off switch
This setting must be selected for most mixers
of the “img Stage Line” range. When you
open the fader, a switch is closed in the mixer
to start the replay. When you close the fader,
the switch opens to set the CD / MP3 player to
pause.

TACT
= control via momentary pushbutton
When you open the fader and the momentary
pushbutton is actuated for the first time, the
replay starts. When you close the fader and
the momentary pushbutton is actuated for the
second time, the CD / MP3 player is set to
pause.

CUE / PLAY
= control via pulse
When you open the fader, a short control
pulse of the mixer starts the replay from the
beginning of the title (Auto Cue point
chapter 5.4.1) or from the Cue point set
with the button CUE (10) [
chapter 5.8.2].
When you close the fader, another control
pulse returns the CD / MP3 player to this start-
ing point where it is set to pause.

update of the firmware of your player is possible.

switch (35).

been updated.
6) Switch off the player and switch it on again.
8 Maintenance of the Player
Protect the player from dust, vibrations, humidity
and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C). For cleaning only use a dry,
soft cloth; never use water or chemicals.
Note concerning sound interruptions and
reading errors
Cigarette smoke and dust easily penetrate
through all openings of the player and also settle
on the optics of the laser sampling systems. If
this deposit should cause reading errors and
sound interruptions, the player must be cleaned
by skilled personnel. Please note that there is a
charge on cleaning, even during the warranty
period!
