12. WORKPIECE PUSHER ROD AND BLOCK
The machine is equipped with a piece pusher rod [X] ( Þ g.9)
and block [Y], which must be used to guide the material to-
wards the cutting disc (
Þ g.10), when the piece is too small to
be moved forward safely, or when it is necessary to hold the
piece pressed against the guide.
The rod [X], or longitudinal pusher, serves the purpose of
guiding the feeding of narrow planks to be cut longitudinally.
The block [Y], or lateral pusher, serves the purpose of guid-
ing the feeding of the workpiece along the guide; the wooden
block with the plastic handle
Þ xed to it comply with the fol-
lowing measurements: length 300 mm to 400 mm, width 80
mm to 100 mm, thickness 15 mm to 20 mm.
These tools must be used, also for short jobs, by suitably
skilled and trained personnel.
