5. Additional table
It is possible to extend the length of the work table from 900
mm to 1640 mm, by means of the additional table [1] (
Þ
g.1).
To
Þ
t the additional table, switch the machine off and
proceed as follows: 1) hold the table with both hands about
5 cm from the slot [E] (
Þ
g.5); 2) lift it up slightly above the
main table [6] (
Þ
g.1); 3) push towards the centre of the ma-
chine and then downwards until it locks into place. To return
the additional table to the vertical rest position, follow the
above instructions in reverse order.
6. Upper guard
The part of the blade which projects above the table is pro-
tected by a guard in polycarbonate [4] (
Þ
g.1). The guard is
anchored to the riving knife with two bolts [F] (
Þ
g.6).
Before starting work, always check that the guard is
properly aligned (centred on the blade and not in contact
with it).
Should the blade protection become damaged during
the life of the machine, it should be replaced immediately.
Once replaced, it will be necessary to check the serviceabil-
ity of the unit; to do so, proceed as follows:
- tighten the screw [G] (
Þ
g.6) and the self-locking nut [H]
(
Þ
g.6) so that the blade protection remains blocked in the
raised position;
- then loosen the screw – self-locking nut pair only until the
protection lowers completely due to its own weight.
Under these conditions, blade protection is assured in every
position and there is no slack in the coupling of the protec-
tion with the piece splitting wedge, thus avoiding dangerous
contact between blade and protection.
7. Adjusting the cutting height (mod. H110R only)
The lever [L] (
Þ
g.7) enables you to establish the distance be-
tween the top extremity of the disc and the work table, which
can range from 0 to 110 mm.
To adjust, switch the machine off and proceed as fol-
lows: 1) take hold of the lever [L] (
Þ
g.7) with your left hand,
and hold it up; 2) turn the knob [I] (
Þ
g.7) with your right hand,
to release from the current position; 3) raise or lower the le-
ver [L] (
Þ
g.7) until you reach the desired height; 4) lock in
position by means of the knob [I] (
Þ
g.7).
p
Before starting work, carefully assess the characteristics
of the piece to cut (geometry and consistency), because the
work required of the blade to remove the material depends
on these characteristics and on the cutting height. The op-
erator must prevent the electric motor from overheating by
checking the advance of the piece with due care.
8. Workpiece guide square / protractor
The machine is equipped with a single workpiece guide
square [O] (
Þ
g.8), for use both for longitudinal and inclined
cuts.
To adjust, switch off the machine and proceed as fol-
lows: 1) establish the cutting angle and the side from which
the piece to be cut is to be fed in; 2) position the square by
turning the knobs [P] (
Þ
g.8) for traversing on the guide [Q]
(
Þ
g.8) and [R] (
Þ
g.8) for inclination, [N] (
Þ
g.8) and [M] (
Þ
g.8)
for the length of the square.
