GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS
The H110 sawing machine has been designed in accordance with the Machines Directive 2006/42/EC
for use on building sites with natural or arti
Þ
cial lighting of at least 500 lux.
The machine must be used only by expert and suitably trained personnel, who have read and under-
stood the instructions set out in this manual.
Before starting work, position the sawing machine in such a way that it is stable (maximum inclination
of 5° with respect to horizontal), in a safe place that is easily accessible (leave a free corridor of at
least 150 cm around each side of the machine). The machine must not be used in closed or under-
ground environments or where there is a risk of
Þ
re or explosion
Make certain that the machine’s guards and safety devices are
Þ
tted correctly and are in good working
order. In particular, check that the riving knife [2] (
Þ
g.1) is aligned with the disc [14] (
Þ
g.1); that the
upper guard [4] (
Þ
g.1) is properly centred on the blade and is not in contact with it.
The sawing machine can be used only with an AC power supply. Before connecting the sawing ma-
chine to the mains supply, check that the line is effectively protected upstream with a differential switch
and that it is equipped with an earth connection. If there are loose cables near the machine, it is
advisable to connect the metal frame of the latter to the earth installation with an equipotential cable by
means of the earthing point [F] (
Þ
g.2).
Check that the characteristics of the power supply network are compatible with the characteristics
shown on the machine data plate [7] (
Þ
g.1).
Do not use defective or non-standard plugs, cables or extension leads. Use plugs with protection class
IP67.
Always wear the relevant safety equipment (safety clothing and footwear, goggles, ear-defend-
ers, etc.).
Check the direction of rotation of the disc by running a short operating cycle without load (start the
machine and stop it again immediately), when
Þ
rst starting the machine and every time you connect
the machine to a different power supply or different extension to the power supply. The direction of
rotation must correspond with the direction shown on the data plate [7] (
Þ
g.1) and must coincide with
the direction of the blade teeth [14] (
Þ
g.1) and the adhesive arrow af
Þ
xed to the upper guard [4] (
Þ
g.1).
Start the machine only once you are certain that the correct conditions exist for working safely.
Examine the piece to cut and carefully assess its geometry and consistency (presence of knots,
unevenness in the material, etc.).
During cutting, hold the piece with both hands at a suitable distance from the blade (about 20cm on
either side). Push the material towards the disc gradually, according to the resistance opposed by the
material, and avoid any sharp movements. When the workpiece is small, use the supplied workpiece
pushers.
Switch off and unplug the sawing machine from the power supply before carrying out any maintenance
work.
