OPERATION
1. GENERAL
This Section contains information and step-by-step procedures for operating the
Model RJ150-30 Mobile Air Conditioning Unit. The unit is capable of providing
Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA; cool mode) service. The operator must read all
instructions before attempting to operate the unit as some steps apply to a
particular unit function. Perform only those procedures that apply to the desired
unit function. Refer to Supplemental Technical Manual(s) as required for
additional details.
WARNING
PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO HAZARDOUS NOISE MAY RESULT IN
PERMANENT HEARING LOSS. EAR PROTECTION DEVICES MUST BE USED
WHEN WORKING WITHIN CLOSE PROXIMITY OF THIS EQUIPMENT WHILE
ENGINE/GENERATOR IS OPERATING.
2. NORMAL OPERATING PROCEDURES
NOTE
If the unit is being operated for the first time, refer to Section 1-4,
Shipping/Receiving for Initial Inspection and Preparation for Use procedures.
If the unit has been in extended storage (longer than three (3) months), refer to
Section 1-5, Storage, before performing the Pre-Operational Inspection.
A. Pre-Operational Inspection:
Prior to the first operation of the day, the unit must be inspected to ensure
safe and reliable operation. The engine should be operated from the Engine
Control Panel to ensure engine and generator systems are functioning
properly. Perform the Pre-Operation Inspection as follows:
CAUTION
A PRIOR-TO-USE INSPECTION MUST BE PERFORMED BEFORE EACH
OPERATION TO ENSURE SAFE AND RELIABLE OPERATION OF THE UNIT.
FAILURE TO PROPERLY INSPECT THE UNIT MAY RESULT IN SEVERE
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE.
