10 Configuration steps
10.1 Image quality
A reliable code recognition is only ensured if the multicode reader is adjusted and
set according to the following criteria�
● The code must be in focus and displayed with the highest possible contrast
(ideal = black/white)�
● The code has to be displayed within the search zone�
● The size of the code should be no larger than approx� 2/3 of the image�
● The minimum module size of the code must be taken into account for the
selection of the operating distance�

● Any code position is possible�
If there is any interfering reflectance in the image, install the device
transversely to the code plane� Depending on the code size the resulting
trapezoidal distortion can be tolerated within certain limits�
► Optimise the image definition (focus) via the setting screw on the back of the
device�
