Troubleshooting
Make sure you have installed the air conditioner in accordance with the
installation instructions.
If the air conditioner does not start, check the following probable causes
before you contact your service provider.
Problem Possible Cause Solution
Air conditioner does not start Air conditioner is unplugged Make sure the air
conditioner plug is
fixed properly in the
power socket.
Fuse is blown/circuit
breaker has tripped
Check the fuse/circuit
breaker and replace the
fuse or reset the breaker.
Switch OFF the main
power supply. Switch
it back ON once the
power resumes.
Make sure there are no
curtains, blinds or furniture
blocking the airflow.
Clean the filter every
2 weeks. (Refer
Maintenance and cleaning).
After the air conditioner
is switched ON, allow time
for the room to cool down.
Check whether any
door/window in the
room is open. If so,
close them to avoid
leakage of cold air.
Contact IFB Care.
Power outage
Airflow is restricted Air conditioner does not
cool as it should
Air filter is dirty
Room is too hot
Cold air is escaping
Air conditioner displays
error code Display shown error
code such as E1, E2 etc
Before contacting IFB Care, make sure you have the make, model and serial number
of your air conditioner on hand. The IFB Service Centre will require this information.
