BATTERY CHARGING

■

 Caution

Msuse of Lthum-Ion batteres may result n the fol-
lowng hazards: smoke, ire, or the battery may rupture. 
Msuse can also cause damage to the battery or degra-
daton of battery performance.

 DANGER!

 Use and charge only specied Icom battery 

packs wth Icom rados or Icom chargers. Only Icom battery 
packs are tested and approved for use and charge wth Icom 
rados or Icom chargers. Usng thrd-party or counterfet bat-
tery packs or chargers may cause smoke, ire, or cause the 
battery to burst.

 DANGER! DO NOT

 hammer or otherwse mpact the bat-

tery. Do not use the battery f t has been severely mpacted 
or dropped, or f the battery has been subjected to heavy 
pressure. Battery damage may not be vsble on the outsde 
of the case. Even f the surface of the battery does not show 
cracks or any other damage, the cells nsde the battery may 
rupture or catch ire.

 DANGER! NEVER

 use or leave battery packs n areas 

wth temperatures above +60˚C. Hgh temperature buldup n 
the battery, such as could occur near ires or stoves, nsde 
a sun heated car, or n drect sunlght may cause the battery 
to rupture or catch ire. Excessve temperatures may also de-
grade battery performance or shorten battery lfe.

seawater, or any other lquds. Do not charge or use a wet 
battery. If the battery gets wet, be sure to wpe t dry before 
usng. The battery s not waterproof.
