Voice scrambler
The optonal voce scrambler, UT-109 and UT-110, are aval-
able.
The scrambler wll be turned ON when the desred scrambler
code s selected n user set menu. (p. 26)
• Use the UT-109 wth the trunkng operaton s recommended.
• The transcever has bult-n voce scrambler (nverson type).
NOTE:
• The UT-110 (wth rollng settng)
CANNOT
be used wth
the trunkng operaton, because of the rollng synchron-
zaton wll be shfted by the nterval transmsson for the
system.
• Both the UT-109 and UT-110 are usable for conventonal
operaton.
• The bult-n voce scrambler does not have a compatbl-
ty wth the UT-109 and UT-110.

DTMF operation
Whle pushng and holdng [PTT], push a key ([0] to [9], [P0]
to [P3]*, [
M
] and [#]) to output the approprate DTMF tone.
The transcever should be n the condton that the commun-
caton s enabled wth [PTT] on a trafic channel.
*[P0] to [P3] correspond to the DTMF tone A to D, respectvely.

Compander function
When the compander functon s set to ON, the communcat-
ng audo qualty wll be ncreased.
The compander functon can be turned ON or OFF n user
set menu. (p. 26)
