SWR reading
The transceiver has a high-performance SWR meter.
The meter displays a stable measurement in real time,
even if the transmit output power varies frequently,
such as during SSB mode operation.
You can measure the SWR of an antenna itself,
through the internal antenna tuner.

Push [TUNER] to turn the antenna tuner OFF.

Hold down the Multi-function [METER](
) key for 1
second to display the Multi-function meter.

Push
the Mode key [RTTY/PSK]
once or twice to
select the RTTY mode.

Push [TRANSMIT].

Rotate [RF PWR] clockwise past the 9 o’clock posi-
tion for more than 30 W of output power.

Read the SWR on the SWR meter gage.

Push [EXIT/SET] to close multi-function meter.
