Instructions for freezing your reusable Cold Capsule®
Inserts:
1. Place the Cold Capsule
®
inserts in the freezer with the
round seal facing up. Try to keep uncovered so they
can “breathe”. The formula will crystalize and become
fluffy.
2. The initial freeze should be 6 hours or more. Refreezing
after use will take 3-4 hours.
3. Remove the inserts from the freezer and gently
massage to loosen snow crystals as shown in Fig. 1.
4. Cold Capsule
®
Inserts may be wiped clean with a
damp cloth after use.
5. To refreeze, you can take the inserts out of the wraps
saving freezer space, or place the entire wrap with the
Cold Capsule
®
Inserts directly into your freezer.
6. If the inserts feel stiff, gently massage them or
set out to thaw for a few minutes before using the
wraps. When inserts become too chunky to conform
to the horse’s legs it’s time to replace them.
