6.2.2. Assembling the IBS-Special Pump
∙ Tilt the drum (5) slightly. Insert the pump into the drum and screw the 2” threaded plug into the drum.
∙ Ensure that the pump outflow is facing to the left and the terminal box is facing towards the rear.
∙ Insert the return hose (9) into the hole in the 2” threaded plug.
∙ Attach the top end of the return hose (9) to the outlet connector (10) on the tray and secure it with the hose clip supplied.
∙ Attach the brush hose (11) to the pump outlet.
∙ Feed the brush hose (11) through the round hole in the rear wall of the tray (13) and insert the cleaning brush.
∙ Place the foot-operated safety switch (7) in front of the device.
∙ Insert the plug into the 230 V socket.
∙ Perform a function test: cleaning liquid must flow when the foot switch is pressed.
6.2.3. Operation
∙ Place the workpiece to be cleaned on the support rack.
∙ Press the foot switch to turn the device on.
∙ Clean the workpiece with the brush.
∙ Release the foot switch to turn the pump off.
6.2.4 Changing the drum
∙ Detach the brush hose (11) on the pump.
∙ Remove the return hose (9) from the drum (5).
∙ Switch off the power supply to the pump.
∙ Remove the pump from the drum whilst the drum is slightly tilted (5). Loosen the 2“ threaded plug.
∙ Seal the drum with a 2“ sealing cap for the drum body.
∙ Pull out the collecting tray from under the IBS-Parts Cleaning Device and stand the collecting tray (6 - Optional) upright with the
drum using the handle.
∙ Replace the drum and carefully place the collecting tray back on the ground.
∙ Push it back under the IBS-Parts Cleaning Device.
∙ Remove the 2“ sealing cap from the body of the drum.
∙ Assembling the IBS-Special Pump (please refer to section 6.2.2.).

6.3. Fault identification and troubleshooting
Fault Cause Solution
Pump not working No power Check that mains plug is plugged in
Pump is faulty Replace pump
Pump not working Liquid level in drum is too low
Check liquid level, if necessary ask IBS Scherer to change
the drum
Pump is faulty Replace pump
