the
rear
panel,
squeeze
the
expansion-slot
clip
to
unlock
the
clip;
then,
pull
the
clip
out
from
the
server
until
it
stops
and
rotate
the
clip
as
shown
in
the
following
illustration.
It
remains
loosely
attached
to
the
server.

Attention:
Avoid
touching
the
components
and
gold-edge
connectors
on
the
adapter.
Ensure
that
the
adapter
is
completely
and
correctly
seated
in
the
slot.
Incomplete
insertion
might
cause
damage
to
the
system
board
or
to
the
adapter.

Remove
the
expansion
slot
cover
from
the
slot.
7.
To
gain
access
to
PCI-X
slot
1,
remove
the
PCI
riser
card
from
its
connector.

2,
remove
the
power-cord
module.
a.
Press
down
on
the
retention
clip
at
the
front
of
the
power-cord
module
and
slide
the
module
toward
the
front
of
the
server
until
the
alignment
tab
is
free
of
the
slot
on
the
side
of
the
server.
