a
memory
error
is
detected
during
POST
or
memory
configuration,
the
blade
server
automatically
disables
the
failing
memory
pair
of
memory
connectors
and
continues
operating
with
reduced
memory.
After
the
problem
is
corrected,
you
must
enable
the
memory
connectors.
Use
the
arrow
keys
to
highlight
the
pair
of
memory
connectors
that
you
want
to
enable,
and
use
the
arrow
keys
to
select
Enable
.

Select
this
choice
to
view
and
set
interrupts
for
PCI
devices,
enable
or
disable
PCI
ROM
control,
and
to
configure
the
master-latency-timer
value
for
the
blade
server.

Baseboard
Management
Controller
(BMC)
Settings
Select
this
choice
to
enable
or
disable
the
Reboot
on
System
NMI
option
on
the
menu.
If
you
enable
this
option,
the
blade
server
will
automatically
restart
60
seconds
after
the
service
processor
issues
a
nonmaskable
interrupt
(NMI)
to
the
blade
server.
You
can
also
select
this
choice
to
enable
or
disable
and
set
the
time-outs
for
the
POST
and
OS
loader
watchdog
timers
.

Configuration
Select
this
choice
to
set
the
network
addresses
of
the
BMC.

Select
this
choice
to
view
and
clear
BMC
event
log
entries.

Using
passwords
From
the
System
Security
choice,
you
can
set,
change,
and
delete
a
power-on
password.
If
you
set
a
power-on
password,
you
must
type
the
power-on
password
to
complete
the
system
startup
and
to
have
access
to
the
full
Configuration/Setup
Utility
menu.
You
can
use
any
combination
of
up
to
seven
characters
(A–Z,
a–z,
and
0–9)
for
the
password.
Keep
a
record
of
your
password
in
a
secure
place.
If
you
forget
the
power-on
password,
you
can
regain
access
to
the
blade
server
in
by
removing
the
blade
server
battery
and
then
reinstalling
it,
or
by
using
the
power-on
password
override
switch
(see
the
Problem
Determination
and
Service
Guide
on
the
Documentation
CD
for
instructions).
