Hot-swap hard disk drive cage
Before you begin:

To remove the hot-swap hard disk drive cage, complete the following steps:
1. Turn off the server, if it is on.
2. Unplug the server, and disconnect all external cables.
3. Remove the front bezel. See “Removing the front bezel” on page 42
4. Remove the side cover. See “Removing the side cover” on page 41
5. Remove the frame-support bracket. See “Removing the frame-support bracket”
on page 43
6. Remove any hard disk drives or drive fillers from the drives.
7. Disconnect the hard disk drive cables that connect to the system board.
8. Remove the screw from the front of the hard disk drive cage.
9. Move the cage slightly in and up until it is free of the chassis and lift it out of the
server.
To replace the hard disk drive cage, reverse the steps.
