Obtaining Service

There are no user-serviceable parts inside the 8270 chassis. Refer all internal
service requirements to qualified personnel. Qualified service personnel should see
Chapter 6, “Service Procedures for Qualified Personnel” on page 6-1.

8270-600: The 8270-600 processor card and UFCs are individually replaceable by
the user.

8270-800: In addition to the processor card and the UFCs, the 8270-800 power
supplies are individually replaceable by the user.

Assistance: If you need assistance in troubleshooting your 8270, call IBM at
1-800-IBM-SERV (426-7378) in the United States and Canada. See “Warranty” on
page B-5 for information concerning service for the product.
