Step 2. Label each end of the cables so that it will be easy to find a device if you
have to troubleshoot a network problem. You should also put the
information on the Cable Destination area of the Service Information card.
Be sure that the label includes the room location of the device at the
other end, a unique cable identification number, the MAC address of the
connected device, and the number of the port to which the cable is
attached.
