identification
label
The
node
identification
label
on
the
front
panel
displays
a
six-digit
node
identification
number.
The
node
identification
label
is
the
same
as
the
six-digit
number
that
is
used
in
the
svctask
addnode
command.
It
is
readable
by
system
software
and
is
used
by
configuration
and
service
software
as
a
node
identifier.
The
node
identifier
can
also
be
displayed
on
the
front
panel
display
when
node
is
selected
from
the
menu.
If
the
service
controller
assembly
front
panel
is
replaced,
the
configuration
and
service
software
displays
the
number
that
is
printed
on
the
front
of
the
replacement
panel.
Future
error
reports
contain
the
new
number.
No
cluster
reconfiguration
is
necessary
when
the
front
panel
is
replaced.
Product
serial
number
The
node
contains
a
SAN
Volume
Controller
product
serial
number
that
is
imbedded
on
the
system
board
hardware.
This
number
is
used
for
warranty
and
service
entitlement
checking
and
is
included
in
the
data
sent
with
error
reports.
It
is
essential
that
this
number
is
not
changed
during
the
life
of
the
product.
If
the
system
board
is
replaced,
you
must
follow
the
system
board
replacement
instructions
carefully
and
rewrite
the
serial
number
on
the
system
board.
Cache
LED
System
activity
is
indicated
through
the
green,
cache
LED.
See
for
the
system
activity
indicators.

has
joined
a

cluster,
and
is
processing

Flashing
The
node
is
dumping
cache
data
in
anticipation
of
a
system
reboot
(from
a
pending
power
down
or
other
controlled
restart
sequence).
Do
not
remove
the
power
cable
or
force
a
power-off
while
this
LED
is
flashing.
Power
button
The
power
button
switches
on
or
off,
the
main
power
to
the
SAN
Volume
Controller.
To
turn
on
the
power,
press
and
release
the
power
button.
To
turn
off
the
power,
press
and
release
the
power
button.
Attention:
If
a
SAN
Volume
Controller
is
powered
off
for
more
than
five
minutes
and
it
is
the
only
SAN
Volume
Controller
that
is
connected
to
an
2145
uninterruptible
power
supply
(2145
UPS),
the
2145
UPS
also
powers
off.
To
power
on
the
SAN
Volume
Controller,
you
must
first
power
on
the
2145
UPS
to
which
it
is
connected.
