EMAIL
Before you can send or receive emails, you will need to setup an email account. There are
different types of email accounts supported by the device. This is described in the next few pages.
· Internet email account (POP3/IMAP4).
· Microsoft Exchange Server (Microsoft Outlook).
Set up an Internet email account automatically
1. On the Today screen, tap Start > Messaging > Setup Email.
2. Enter the email address and password and press next.
3. on the next screen you can choose if you wish Microsoft to attempt to retrieve your email settings automatically.
By default this is enabled; to disable untick the box. Press Next to continue.
You will need to supply your email user name and password.
· If the email address cannot be found, you will be asked to set up the account manually.
NOTE: If the account is set up successfully, you will be prompted to send and receive email. If not, you
must tap Next and set up the account manually, which is described in the following pages. Setup an
Internet email account manually.
