OPERATING PROCEDURES

CAUTION

Do not engage the starter for more than 30 seconds
at a time. If the engine does not start, turn the key
switch to OFF. Wait 60 seconds before engaging the
starter again.

5. If the engine does not start after four attempts, get help
from authorized service personnel.

6. When the engine is running, check the gauges and in-
dicator lights for the correct operation. See the IN-
STRUMENTS AND CONTROLS section in this

OPERAT-

ING MANUAL

for a description of the correct operation.

Shutdown Procedures, Turbo Engines

1. Put the control lever for the transmission in the Neutral

(N) position.

2. With the engine at idle speed, wait 3 to 5 minutes
before turning key switch to

OFF

3. Apply parking brake.
