5 – Preventive maintenance

Preventi

ve maintenance

Remove the indicator pin assembly

Required parts, tools, and materials

Clean, lint-free towels

Isopropyl alcohol

5/32-inch hex wrench

Use a hex wrench to remove the socket-head cap screws and the lock washers from the indicator pin cap.

Pull the indicator pin cap out of the hydraulic end cap.

If the O-ring backup and the O-ring are being replaced, remove them from the indicator pin cap.

Remove the spring from the indicator pin.

Remove the indicator pin from the indicator pin hole in the hydraulic end cap.

Clean each part with a lint-free towel and isopropyl alcohol. Examine all parts for deterioration, corrosion, or
damage.

Service

Interval

Replace the indicator pin spring

After every 3,000 hours of operation

Replace the indicator pin

After every 6,000 hours of operation

Do not use soap, detergent, or solvents.

Cap screws and lock washers
