Position lances in the duct centre if possible.
If the humidifier blows into a comp act multi-zone unit then it
should be installed directly in the air flow and as close as possi-
ble to the fan.
The bif urcated pip e shou ld never be inst alled le ss th an one
meter in fro nt o f th e fa n suct ion side. In this case the correct
installation is behind the fan.
Never inst all the lances p ointing vertically do wnwards. T his
would cause condensate to co llect in the st eam lance heating
system. On the other hand a ve rtical inst allation pointing
upwards is possible.
If the ducting is taller than it is wide, install the steam lance verti-
cally. If this is not possible then a second lance must be installed
in order to ensure an even steam distribution.
Lances should ha ve a minimum distance o f 5x the a bsorbtion
distance to the duct humidity controller.
When selecting the lan ce choose a size suf ficient for the entire
duct width or height.
