A d j u st i n g t h e LCD Co n t r a st
The cont rast of t he LCD screen is fact ory set at it s opt im um level for
norm al operat ing condit ions. However, in ext rem es of t em perat ure
t he display m ay appear too dark or light .
This set t ing can be m anually adj ust ed by select ing t he LCD
CON TRAST m enu opt ion by pressing t he
but t on. Scroll to
“ CONTRAST” and press

Qu i ck Bo o t
The lum inom et er will t urn on when you press t he
but t on. The
lum inom et er will perform a st andard calibrat ion in 15 seconds and will
t hen be ready t o perform readings. Quick Boot can be t urned off and
t he lum inom et er will perform a m ore in- dept h syst em check t he next
t im e it is t urned on. The m ore in- dept h syst em check takes 60
seconds.
N OTE:
The m ore in- dept h syst em check is typically used for
diagnost ic purposes and not necessary for norm al use.
To change t he Quick Boot set t ing, select t he QUI CK BOOT m enu
opt ion by pressing t he

St a n d b y M o d e
The St andby Mode is used t o cont rol when t he lum inom et er should
aut om at ically t urn off when not in use. This is designed t o conserve
bat t ery power.
The default is 20 m inut es. I f no but t ons are pressed wit hin t he t im e
period, t he lum inom et er will t urn off. I f any but t on is pressed, or a
reading is perform ed, t he St andby Mode count down t im er is reset to
zero.
