Changing the battery
This work must be undertaken in a dry, dust-free environment. The enclosure
should never be opened inside the hazardous area. To change the battery on
a Hydro-Logic
®
Flexi Logger 300Ex:
1. Undo the six enclosure screws securing the two halves of the Flexi
Logger 300Ex enclosure using a 2.5m A/F hex driver. The screws are
captive so will stay in the bottom half of the enclosure when undone.
2. Carefully remove the lid of enclosure ensuring that the seals are not lost:
3. Unplug the HLC module and place it to one side:
4. Unplug the battery wire and lift the battery out. Fit the new battery.
5. Replace the HLC module.
6. Refit the enclosure top making sure that the 7 O-ring seals (6 small, one
large) are in place and not contaminated with dirt or other material.
Tighten the six screws to 0.6 N·m, (5in lbf).
7. Reset the logger clock
– see either
Resetting the logger clock with
Harvest or Resetting logger clock with Timeview .
8. Dispose of the old battery, following Disposal regulations.
