Clean the suction strainer.
NOTE
Operating the FAM without suction strainers can lead to damage.
The suction sieve must be cleaned at regular intervals and when the fault message
"Check suction sieve" appears. To accomplish this, remove the suction sieve from
its sieve housing and use compressed air to free it of dirt, reinstalling it afterwards.
Unscrew cap to clean suction strainer
Fluid filter (OLF-5)
As soon as the error message "change fluid filter" appears on the display the filter
should be taken out of the housing and be replaced by a new one.
The contaminated filter has to be disposed of according to the local regulations as
hazardous waste
.
Changing the Filter Element
Switch off the system, close the ball faucets on the inlet and the outlet and carry out
a pressure relief sequence in the filter housing. Carefully open the emptying screw
(SW 6 mm) on the bottom of the filter housing (the emptying screw is equipped with
ventilation slits).
The filter pot can be completely emptied by removing the emptying screw (SW 6
mm) on the floor of the filter housing (contents
≈
2 liters).
Now undo the tension clamp on the filter housing and then carefully remove the filter
housing by moving it downwards.
Now pull the filter element carefully out of its holder.
The filter pot is to be cleaned.
The O-ring and the filter pot are to be inspected for possible damage.
Replace if necessary.
Moisten the O-rings on the new filter element with the operating medium.
Now the new filter element can be installed. Make sure the new element is fitted
tightly to the connection part.
