Electrical Connection of the FAM

DANGER

Electric shock

Any work involving the electrical system may
only be done by a properly trained, certified
electrician.

The voltage and frequency indicated on the rating plate must coincide with the volt-
age supply present.

If a plug is present on the FAM or if a plug is mounted, then the FAM is to be oper-
ated from a correspondingly fused socket.

The direction of rotation of the motor is checked by means of a phase sequence re-
lay. If the phase sequence at the socket is recognized as being incorrect, then a
message will appear on the display.

Any reversal of the direction of rotation that may be
required is accomplished by switching two phases in
the terminal box of the engine or, in the event that the
device is equipped with an electric plug with phase
switcher, by rotating two phases in the plug. No dis-
mantling of the plug is required.
