Adjustment of the head
-
To raise and lower the head, loosen the two heavy duty head lock nuts shown in Fig. A. Use the left side
handle head to raise and lower the head on its rack and pinion mechanism. When the desired height is
reached, tighten the bolts to avoid vibration.
-
The head may be rotated 360º by loosening the same bolts mentioned above. Adjust the head to the
desired angle, then fix the lock nuts. Tighten it to fix the head for extensive drilling and/or milling.

Preparing for drilling
-
Turn the knob to loosen the taper body of the worm gear and spring base. Set the spindle stroke by using
the positive depth stop gauge.
Preparing for milling
-
Adjust the positive depth stop gauge to the highest point possible.
-
Turn the knob to couple the taper friction force to the worm gear and spring base. Turn the handle wheel
to adjust the working height of the spindle with that of the work piece.
-
Lock the rack sleeve with a fixed bolt at the desired height

-
Your machine is equipped with a jib strip adjustment to compensate for wear and excess slack on cross
and longitudinal travel.
-
Rotate the jib strip bolt with a big screw clockwise for excess slack, or a little counter clockwise if too tight.
-
Adjust the jib strip bolt until you feel a slight drag when shifting the table.
10. Clamping, table base and machine base
See figure C
-
When milling longitudinal feed, it is advisable to lock the cross feed table travel to insure the accuracy of
your work. To do this, tighten the small leaf screw located on the right side of the table base.
-
To tighten the longitudinal feed travel of the table for cross feed milling, tighten the two small leaf screw on
the front of the table base.
-
Adjustable travel stops are provided on the front of the table for control of longitudinal travel and the
desired milling length.
11. Speed changing and adjusting the belt
See figure D
-
Turn the power off.
-
Open the belt cover by releasing side latches, see steps (a), (b) and (c).
-
Loosen the motor mount leaf screw.
