6. Put a thin mandrel (E) into the hole on the carburetor
body.

7. Hold the mandrel in position and remove the main
jet (F) with a screwdriver.
8. Put a screwdriver into the air intake of the
carburetor. Push the emulsion tube through the body
of the carburetor.
9. Remove the emulsion tube.
10. Remove the gasket.
11. Put a screwdriver through the air intake of the
carburetor and remove the screw that holds the
throttle shaft.
12. Remove the throttle shaft.
13. Measure the distance between the end of the idle
adjustment screw and the screw hole.
14. Remove the idle adjustment screw.
15. Remove the O-ring and the pilot screw.
6.5.4 To clean and examine the carburetor
1. Clean all parts in clean gasoline.
2. Use compressed air to dry the gasoline. Point the air
through all channels in the carburetor housing and
make sure that the channels are not blocked.
3. Examine all parts for damage and wear. Replace the
parts that show signs of damage.
6.5.5 To do a pressure test of the carburetor
1. Remove the carburetor. Refer to
install the carburetor HS 166A on page 23.
2. Make sure that the carburetor is correctly
page 27.
3. Connect the pressure tester to the fuel inlet on the
carburetor. Increase the pressure to 50 kPa.
