3.6 One robotic lawnmower for
several working areas
The unique coupling between mower and charg-
ing station is saved in the profiles. This allows up
to 3 different charging stations to be coupled to the
same robotic lawnmower.
Coupling a new charging station to the robotic lawn-
mower:
• First save a profile to be used with the original
charging station.
•
Then place the mower in the new charging sta-
tion being coupled to the mower.
•
Select
Security-New loop signal
.
• Save a profile for the new charging station.
In order to use the robotic lawnmower in the origi-
nal charging station, the first profile must now be
selected. In order to use the robotic lawnmower in
the new charging station, the new profile must now
be selected. To give the best function, GPS assisted
navigation should be disabled for all extra installa-
tions and only be used for the main installation.
3.7 Even mowing results in
complex working areas
The robotic lawnmower is equipped with setting op-
tions to ensure consistent mowing results even in
complex working areas Settings are made in
Lawn
coverage
. If these settings are not changed, the
area near the charging station will be cut more than
areas further away from it or beyond narrow pas-
sages. See
Installation example
in the Operator's
Manual for example settings.
3.7.1 GPS assisted navigation
This section does not apply to Automower® 420.
GPS assisted navigation uses an inbuilt GPS to
check which areas are mowed and thereby which
areas need to be mowed next. After a number of
days operating, the robotic lawnmower creates a
map of the working area and where the guide wires
are laid. In this way the robotic lawnmower can au-
tomatically set distance and proportion for hard to
reach parts of the working area.
