Software Upgrade  

 

 

771402-2 dopplex ABIlity Service Manual                                    

61 

To use the dopplex Ability Upgrade Utility to upgrade the application software on your dopplex Ability: 
 

1.  Connect the PC to the Ability using the USB cable. 
2.  Connect the dopplex Ability to the mains supply and press the power on/off button. 
3.  Check that the main screen as shown below is displayed. 

 

 

 
 

4.  Start the dopplex Ability Upgrade Utility program by clicking on the desktop icon: 

 

 

 

5.  In the status window within the Upgrade Utility, you should see the program connect to the Internet 

(Huntleigh cloud) and download the latest application software for the Ability unit. 
 

6.  Enter your e-mail address in the Email

 

box and click on the ‘Read SN

’ 

button. If the serial number 

cannot be read automatically from the unit then type the serial number located on the base of the Ability 
unit into the box. 

 

7.  Click on the ‘Start Upgrade’ button in the Upgrade Utility.   

 

8.  After approximately 30 seconds: 

 

•

 

The upgrade process should complete 

•

 

The status box background colour will change to green 

•

 

The message ‘Dopplex Ability upgrade complete’ will be displayed 

•

 

The dopplex Ability unit will re-start.
