3 sizes of fish symbols are used to depict fish.
Structure or thermoclines are shown with this symbol.
ID "ties" the fish to the bottom beneath it for easy location.
CONTROLLING THE SCREEN IMAGE
The buttons arranged in a circular pattern on the Dimension 3 front panel let you manipulate this image.
Pressing the ID button causes vertical lines to appear beneath each fish image. This helps you
identify the fish's exact location left or right and it's relative distance off the bottom. Press ID again when
you want to turn this feature off.
The SCREEN button; button provides alternate views of the same underwater area, to help you
better understand what is beneath the boat. Pressing the SCREEN button once displays a "front" view,
much like using a rearview mirror. Press it a second time for a "side" view like conventional 2dimensional
sonar products display. Press it again to return to the 3/4 screen.
The STOP Button; button "freeze," the display so you can study it. Press it again to restart the
display movement.
The REVERSE ANGLE Button; button Icts you see a minorimage of the current display. This
feature works only in 3dimensional and front view, and is used to better view terrain which might normally
be hidden.
SELECTING FUNCTIONS
The previous section explains the buttons that let you control the display of screen images. This
section shows you how to use the Dimension 3 "Select System" to choose from a wealth of useful features
and functions.
When you press the SELECT button, you see a menu that offers t he following functions for
